updated 4:52 p.m. ET Feb. 3, 2012

BERLIN - Borussia Dortmund opened a three-point lead in the Bundesliga, beating Nuremberg 2-0 Friday night on goals by Sebastian Kehl and Lucas Barrios.

Kehl put the defending champions ahead in the 48th minute after Moritz Leitner split the defense and Lukasz Piszczek pulled the ball back for the Dortmund captain to slot in. Barrios scored on a rebound in the 82nd minute as Dortmund extended its league unbeaten streak to 14 games.

Dortmund (13-3-4) has 43 points. Bayern (13-5-1) is at Hamburg on Saturday, when Schalke (also 13-5-1) hosts Mainz.

American defender Timmy Chandler entered in the 59th minute for Nuremberg, his first appearance since Dec. 20. He missed games because of a red-card suspension and a hamstring injury.
